A CLEAR NOTE ABOUT THIS WEBSITE

My ideas and direction.
AI helped make them real.

I used AI to design and build this website. I did not code it independently. I’m still learning the basics of programming and web development. I supplied my project material, chose the direction, and gave feedback to shape what you see.

This website is part of my learning journey.

BEGINNING.

I don’t have it all figured out. That’s why I’m curious.

I’m a first-year B.Tech student in Computer Science and Engineering, specialising in Bioinformatics, at VIT Vellore. I’m learning programming fundamentals and exploring how code and mathematical models can help us understand living systems.

This is a record of the questions I’m following and the projects I’m exploring. My next steps are stronger foundations, more practice, hackathons, and eventually a first internship or lab assistantship.

Where I want to go +

In the next one to two years, I want to strengthen my Python, object-oriented programming, data structures, and statistics, then apply them to biological data. Longer term, I’m interested in building tools for computational biology research, with an MS in the field as an option.

A lesson I’m keeping +

My first maths-project idea, Turing patterns, was too advanced for me to explain well. Choosing a simpler model taught me to understand a problem from first principles—and to value work I can explain clearly.

NOTEBOOK.

Learning by trying, making,
and asking better questions.

01

Getting the basics right

Learning the fundamentals of Python, C++, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and GNU Octave.

02

Biology & data

My degree connects biochemistry and molecular biology with programming, data structures, statistics, and bioinformatics.

Degree focus areas +

Biochemistry; cell and molecular biology; fundamentals and structural bioinformatics; systems biology; OOP; data structures; databases; AI and machine learning; calculus and differential equations; discrete mathematics and linear algebra; probability and statistics.

Curriculum areas from my portfolio, not a list of completed courses.

03

Beyond the code

Communicating ideas, working in a team, and making time to keep learning.

LEAK FINDER / PROJECT NOTES

Designing the whole system.

Top view of the three-zone Leak Finder reference design

The concept combines flow, pressure, and clamp-on vibration sensing. Each signal helps interpret the others, with a proposed normal, suspected, or confirmed verdict per zone.

My contribution

I handled the computing work, interactive 3D reference model, and package files, except the group project charter.

303component / material instances
135electrical connection records
201plumbing joint records

The R1 package includes a 1.4 m × 1.1 m board layout, ESP32 pin mapping, a bill of materials, six wiring diagrams, a GLB model, and a 41-page build guide.

This is a digital reference design. It has not been built or bench-tested. Physical fit checks, firmware, and detection validation remain open; no real-world leak-detection performance is claimed.

CELL SHAPE / INTERACTIVE MODEL

Move time forward.

How does average nutrient concentration change inside three idealised cell shapes?

C(t) / Cout = 1 − e−βtβ = PS/V
Small sphere
Thin cylinder
Equal-volume sphere

At P = 1 µm/s, the cylinder reaches 90% in 6.867 seconds; its equal-volume sphere takes 23.026 seconds. The smaller sphere reaches it in 0.384 seconds but is a separate size comparison.

Assumptions: constant outside concentration, fast internal mixing, no nutrient consumption, and initially C = 0. The dimensions and permeability are illustrative. These are model predictions, not measured biological times. The supplied deck acknowledges AI assistance with explanations, code, and conceptual artwork.

GREEN ENERGY / COMMUNICATING IDEAS

From research
to a shared explanation.

Anwesh and I co-presented this nine-slide talk for Technical English Communication, BAENG101P.

  1. The question: why energy demand keeps growing.
  2. The comparison: fossil fuels and lower-emission alternatives, including solar, wind, fuel cells, and biogas.
  3. The challenge: costs, storage, and existing infrastructure.
  4. The outlook: new technologies and applications across villages, farms, homes, and industry.

I practised structuring an argument, selecting sources, designing slides, preparing speaker notes, and presenting as part of a team.
